Description: Meet the Daddy Derek of Netflix. ‘Swiped’ (2018) is another teen comedy on Netflix starring Noah Sentineo, this time from Night Dove Pictures. One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, it’s intended to be a satirical take on dating apps and hookup culture, but it falls completely flat by being out-of-touch, judgemental and completely ridiculous, resulting in widespread ridicule. But Ann Deborah Fishman, Swiped’s writer, producer, and director, hasn’t taken this criticism lying down. She lashed out at critics and members of the general public who disliked her film, send intimidating emails to YouTubers who reviewed it, and even threatened to sue and then copystriked a young YouTuber who made a video on Swiped. So how could I resist?
